United States Aggression Against Iran

Pink Moon, 01 April 2026

I again pivot from my previous planned post (crime and punishment) to address a pressing contemporary issue: unwarranted and cruel United States and Israeli aggression against Iran. This naked aggression was foreshadowed by the kidnapping of Maduro, Trump’s saber-rattling, and the Israeli chokehold on US government.

Iran poses no threat to the United States. Iran is on the other side of the world. It poses a threat only to the extent that it must defend itself, like a cornered animal, by any means necessary, against a colossus. It does, however, pose an obstacle to Israeli hegemony in the Middle East.

The attack has been particularly savage and counter-productive, killing anybody and everybody in the higher echelons of the government. President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu gloat at the destruction that they wreak on Iran. Under these circumstances, any Iranian who signs a humiliating peace treaty will be reviled by Iranians, much like Germany after WW1. No good can come of it.

Nor can any reasonable person believe the rhetoric coming out of the United States and Israeli governments and the legacy media that fawns over them. Warmongers have been falsely claiming for decades that Iran was on the verge of possessing nuclear weapons. The real rogue nuclear powers on this planet are Israel and North Korea, though the United States is also a contender.

Americans may not like the way the Iranian regime treats its citizens, but that is none of their concern. It is certainly not reason enough to launch a blitzkrieg attack. Would bellicose Americans welcome a Chinese invasion to liberate American citizens from their government’s war on drugs?

Since it is apparent that Iran poses no threat to the United States, the next step is, naturally, to question why the attack was launched.

The most likely reason is the chokehold of the Jewish lobby on the United States government (this chokehold is worth discussing in a future post). The United States government, through its bribed and intimidated politicians, does the bidding of Israel, even if it means the loss of American blood and treasure. Zionists seek a greater Israel and would burn the United States in a sacrificial pyre to achieve this goal.

Lust for oil could be another motivator. Iran has petroleum resources coveted by American corporations. Given that the US dollar is semi-based on petroleum, this oil, like Venezuela’s, could be used to prop up a depreciating fiat currency.

“Sending a signal” might also be a reason for this attack. Perhaps the administration wants to send a signal to the world that it’s president is wild and unpredictable, like a madman with a gun, and thus needs to be placated. That strategy may work temporarily, until it doesn’t. And when it doesn’t, it will be ugly.

Other theories I have scene bandied about are 1) the invasion is a distraction from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, and 2) the invasion is an effort to interfere with China's oil imports.

It is hard to tell whether the United States military itself favors this war. Its military command would certainly like to test-run its latest weaponry, but only if there are zero American deaths. Americans, after the Vietnam fiasco, have little tolerance for American casualties. Maybe wiser heads in the military think that this endeavor is foolish but keep silent to preserve their jobs.

The risk of escalation is high. The Trump administration is amassing troops in the Middle East. Iran is attacking US outposts in the Middle East. It could very well launch attacks on US soil. All oil-importing countries have a stake in this battle. Regional powers like Russia and China have a stake in the outcome. The risk of nuclear escalation is real.

Presidential proclamations to pursue peace have always disguised a lust for war. Consider Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, and Lyndon Johnson. Donald Trump is just one in a long line of such dissemblers. Donald Trump wants (or wanted) to be regarded as the peace president, to be awarded the Nobel peace prize. He certainly has a strange way of seeking this honor.
